The Department of Energy, Government of Odisha, invites applications for the Director (Commercial) role at GRIDCO Ltd., Odisha’s state-run entity handling power procurement and trading.

Position Overview

Position	Director (Commercial)
Organization	GRIDCO Ltd.
Reporting To	Managing Director / Chairman-cum-Managing Director
Contract Type	Full-time, contractual
Contract Duration	5 years or until age 63 (whichever is earlier)
Remuneration	Rs. 35 lakh - Rs. 70 lakh per annum (CTC pattern)
Probationary Period	1 year (performance-based confirmation)

Key Responsibilities

This Board-level role requires expertise in power sector management and regulatory practices:

Oversee commercial matters, regulatory affairs, and power purchase agreements.
Collaborate with agencies such as CEA, ERPC, and OERC for effective planning.
Implement best practices and modern systems to enhance efficiency.

Eligibility Criteria

2. Educational Qualifications

Required Qualification	Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university
Preferred Qualifications	B.Tech, MBA, CA, CMA, or Law degree

3. Key Skills

Candidates should demonstrate:

Adequate exposure to commercial matters, power purchase, and regulatory affairs within the power sector.

4. Work Experience

Candidate Type	Minimum Experience	Senior-Level Experience
Internal Candidates	20 years	2 years in a senior-level position (GM and above)
External Candidates	20 years	3 years in a senior-level position (GM and above)

Additional Requirement: Candidates should be in the Level-15 pay scale (Rs. 1,23,100-2,15,900) as per ORSP Rules, 2017 or equivalent revised scale.

5. Employment Status

Candidates must be employed in a regular (non-contractual) role and should belong to one of the following categories:

Central or State Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE/SPSE)
Central or State Government
Private sector enterprises listed on the stock exchange with an annual turnover of over Rs. 500 crore in any of the last three years.
